As artists, I believe it’s important for us to find platforms to share our work with the public. While it’s fine to be a bedroom artist, at the end of the day, we want our art to have meaning, tell stories, and inspire others. This is where putting your work out there and building a supportive community becomes crucial. Sue Gray, a South African painter living in Singapore, creates lifelike replicas of popular bottled drinks and sauces we all love. I had the pleasure of photographing her and capturing some behind-the-scenes moments. Watching her dedication to her craft, with every stroke and colour choice, truly brought her art to life. The truth is, your audience wants to be part of your process.
