One of the biggest challenges I face as a photographer is bad weather, and this day was no exception. Holly and Sam, a couple from Texas, were touring Asia, and their next stop was Singapore. They hired me to capture some of their favorite spots around the city. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. It rained heavily, and the mood was dampened.

But we didn’t let that stop us. With umbrellas in hand, we embraced the rain and started taking photos. The rain turned out to be a blessing in disguise, giving the photos a moody, atmospheric vibe that made the experience even more memorable. Singapore’s wet streets and overcast skies created a unique backdrop for their adventure.

We also took a few breaks to wait for the rain to lighten up, which gave us a chance to chat and get to know each other better. By the end of the session, there were tears—not just from the rain, but from the genuine connection we’d formed. It turned out to be a day they’d never forget.
