Hello, I'm Alfred Tanuwidjaja (Chen), a family photographer and videographer based in Singapore.
Growing up, family wasn’t something I saw in a positive light. My childhood was marked by darkness, and I often found it difficult to celebrate joyful moments.
But through my journey working as a photographer and videographer—initially for businesses—I discovered something unexpected: the power of storytelling, connection, and healing. I realised I could turn my own painful past into something meaningful by helping others preserve the love, warmth, and connection in their lives.
Today, I specialise in capturing real, heartfelt moments for families—turning them into timeless photos and films that can be treasured for generations. It’s my way of honouring what I never had, and of helping others hold on to what truly matters.

Alfred was absolutely amazing! He captured the essence of our Ukrainian community's Christmas celebration perfectly. It was a special day, with children performing for their parents, and Alfred managed to highlight every joyful and emotional moment. Alfred has a true gift. He was very engaged and responsive in the planning process before coming to our place to film. On the day of, he magically faded into the background while filming so we were at ease and he was able to capture our family life in beautiful detail and from unique angles. He weaved the footage into a beautiful story that captured the essence of our family perfectly.
